About Us

Prayag is a Montessori House of Children, serving children between to 2 to 6 years of age. We at Prayag feel that each child needs the benefit of having individual attention, as these are the formative years of the child. We also believe that every child deserves a safe, warm and caring environment to grow and develop.

Prayag offers children a “Home away from Home” where they can relax, settle down and learn as they work. The environment at Prayag has been designed to allow children to move around freely and it also provides a spacious work and play area. Cleanliness and hygiene play a very important role in Prayag’s Environment.

Prayag Montessori owes its teaching foundations to Dr. Maria Montessori, a globally-reputed physician and academician. The Montessori pedagogy she proposed, the Montessori Method, is a child-centred educational approach based on scientific observations of children, and has been successfully used for over 150 years in many parts of the world.

The Montessori Method views the child as one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive environment.
