Prayag Approach
Our environment is designed with the goal of facilitating the developmental & emotional growth of children between 2-6 years. We aim to nurture the child so that they grow to become independent, with a desire to explore the world and understand it to the best of their ability. The adult to child ratio is the best compared to any school in and around Bengaluru.
Prayag is not only for those Montessori inclined parents but also for those who want to give the benefits of Montessori to their little ones but are unable to give them 'cause of their transferable jobs. We have a pre-school division where principles of Madame Montessori are followed and the children do get the advantage of working with the initial presentations with the materials. However for their pre-school level 2 & 3 (equivalent to L.K.G & U.K.G) they have traditional classrooms to help them adjust to the schools they plan to enroll for their next stage of learning (Primary).
Difference between Montessori and Preschool @ Prayag
- It is mandatory that a Montessori enrolled child should be in our environment for a period of 3 years.
- In a Montessori environment we have a snack corner where children can eat their snacks whenever they want.
- All Montessori adults are trained and certified by IMTC or IMA.
- Our Montessori division is certified by the Indian Montessori Centre.
- Language is introduced the Montessori way with the vowel and then the consonant sounds.
- Arithmetic is introduced with the Montessori materials. They are presented with the decimal system and all the operations by the time they finish their level 3.
- A preschool enrolled child has options to be with us for 1,2 or 3 years.
- In our preschool environment we have snack time to help children adjust to regular schools.
- All preschool adults are NTT trained.
- We are recognised by the dept of education (South Bangalore) for preschool.
- Language is introduced the montessori way with the vowel and consonant sounds.
- Arithmetic is introduced the traditional way. (L.K.G & U.K.G)
